A 20 acre off-leash dog park is planned east of the
northeast corner of Mitchell Expressway and Peger Road.

Any dog owner who socializes and trains their dog
learns to understand their animal's behavior and will more likely be able to handle behavior problems
which might come up. This in turn makes them happier with their pet and a more responsible pet owner.
People need to get out with their dogs. Many places post "NO DOGS" signs. People can train, exercise
and socialize their dogs at the dog park.
Dog parks promote safe and responsible pet ownership. Often dogs are euthanized because of problem behavior.
This is a tragedy for dogs, dog owners, and the community. Dog parks are a place for owners to train and
socialize dogs. Dog parks are a preventive measure aimed at improving canine-human and canine-canine interaction.
