WHAT'S HAPPENING AT THE DOG PARK?
Is your
organization or youth group looking for a project?
Here is a list
of project opportunities for leaders and future leaders at
the dog park:
• Picnic Tables - Build/donate/ sponsor tables for seating
at the park
• Cut down, cut up and remove two trees that are leaning
over the trail.
• Transplant spruce trees from donor locations to the new
park
• Help the girl scouts with their Gold Award project
• Create and install a few more bag dispensers to encourage
poop pickup
• Find/build/purchase a dog house shaped well house
• Raise funds for a small dog fenced area.
Perhaps the
leaders in your group would like to team up with Rotoract
(Rotary for people between the ages of 20 and 35) or other
student organizations to work on dog park projects.
Park Illumination Project:
A light switch has been installed by the vehicle gate at the
entrance area, under the borough’s light which will be on a
photo cell (turned on all the time it’s dark). Flip this
switch for 30 minutes of play area lighting. Another switch
on the pole by the fenced area will extend the lighting time
if 30 minutes is not enough!
